Fencing the perimeter of the school campus will create a distinct learning sanctuary to increase effective administrative oversight of young students. In addition, the fence will provide a higher level of security and safety for the students and staff. It will also prevent cows, goats and sheep from damaging school property.

Sponsor a Teacher
Students cannot receive quality instruction without trained teachers. Currently, most teachers in Ariang School have not completed primary or secondary education. These teachers cannot read and write basic English. None of the teachers have received formal teacher training. As a result, Ariang students have difficulty passing national exams qualifying them for secondary education.
Part of our mission is not only to build the school for the children of Ariang village, but also to ensure that children receive quality education by training teachers.
We recognize the importance of investing in these teachers’ education as a critical step for improving overall instruction in Ariang School. With the scholarship, these teachers will be able to get training and further their education in the Training Institute for Teachers.
You can sponsor a teacher by making a monthly or yearly contribution to the Teacher Scholarship Fund. We will provide you or your family with a picture of the teacher.

the tuition for a prospective teacher candidate in teacher training. This will allow one teacher from Ariang School, currently with an 8th grade level of education, to complete secondary school in Uganda and attend teacher training courses so s/he can return to the village as an educated, well-trained teacher and provide effective instructions for students.
Sponsor a Student

Supply a well
$3,500-4,000 will cover the cost of drilling a well to provide safe drinking water for students and their families. The close proximity of water to Ariang School will also shorten the traveling time that young girls have to make to fetch water. As a result, this water provision will increase enrollment rates for young women.
Purchase uniforms
$45 per year will buy uniforms for one student, especially girls, which will encourage them to attend school. Some young girls do not attend school simply because their families cannot afford clothes or uniforms.
Help a child stay healthy for school
$30 per year will cover medicines for de-worming a child suffering from parasites (ie. luke worms, tapeworms). This will help children stay healthy, enhancing their ability to learn.
Provide meals
$15 per month will cover the cost of nutritious meals for a student at Ariang School, relieving students of hunger which hampers their learning. The provision of school meals will encourage the parents to allow their children, especially girls, to attend school.
